This game came to Ephman about the time that Bethesda Softworks came out with Elder Scrolls Oblivion Gate came out. Hours and hours were played running, jumping, hitting, and then running for days again to build up the expeirence points. Thank gosh that you come right out of the box (or vault) in this game with semi-superhuman, powers right away. The "power" is gained by picking up better weapons that have added benefits, and apparel. Just picked up a Power Armour with the ability to improve energy weapons. So things like that. But BEWARE of radiation. EEERRRR don't want to get sick from that. If you are familier with Oblivion Gate you'll catch on the the first person and third person playing options. Usually for long runs and getting around from place to place the third person is great, you really get to see the vastness that this world has. When the trouble hits the fan then it's a quick press of the F button and BOOM the fighting begins. There's a story to this. MIght not be as complex as a book, but in ways it's very reminiscent of one. Hopefully there's a bookt that turned into a video game? If anybody knows let Ephman know. Anyhow, the game could be put into a movie. This is the third version in the series. The first two were programmed by another company that for some reason doesn't exist, or lost the rights to make the game, whatever it doesn't matter, this new company made it and the die hards might have been a little pissed off at how the game was made. Rumor has it that there is a version out from the original company. It was some demo or something. YES I remeber they did lose the rights to the story. These game takes YEARS to make. It's the reason they come out with add-ons that just extend the story. Ephman's been playing games since the mid 70's with is Pong unit, but liked the squash version better. Hated Joust, loved Punch Out, Tempest, and especially Defender. Oblivion Gate is better story and things the character can do. Especially with the design him or her. In Fallout 3 you rarely get to see their faces, maybe only when they die if you're not wearing a helmet or mask. The graphics are totally intense. The care that is taken in creating this world is just monumental. The machine that plays this game has a nVIDIA GeForce 9650m GT 1gb card in it. So for 2009, not a bad little video maker piece of technology.
