Top 10 Reasons The Google Nexus One With Android Is Great

Video:
FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).
OK OK OK let's just preface this thing by saying the Google Nexus One Android is not perfect. But it's a lot more perfect then his old crappy iPhone ever was. So on with the review.... Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a Google Nexus One vs. Apple iPhone review... but you never know what can happen here at ephman.com

Alright people, fans, kids of all ages... never let it be said that Ephman does not put his money where his mouth is. That's right!!! In response to his ever popular article so aptly titled “Top 10 Reasons The iPhone Sucks And Why It Is So Awful Terrible” Ephman went out and bought the Google Nexus One.

So with a round of applause Ephman would like to introduce to you “Top 10 Reasons The Google Nexus One With Android Is Great”

1. Multi-Tasking

We all know that the the Apple iPhone is going to have multi-tasking. But guess what... as of the time of this writing THEY DON'T. Ephman can now listen to Pandora, get directions, AND play Robo Defense, all while walking the streets of NYC. Cool right?

2. Turn by Turn

Yes, Ephman has a car AND lives in Manhattan, and NO he is not crazy. But what's cool is if he's traveling outside the city. Which basically means he has no idea where he's going. The Google phone can show him the way. And he doesn't need to spend like $100 to turn his phone into a GPS. It's right there all for him. Sweet.

3. The Screen

Here you've go the window to your world. It's got this 3.7” AMOLED 800x480 screen. Real bright. Even in like direct sunlight you can see the screen OK. So Ephman travels a lot. And he likes to watch movies on his phone... the screen is just fine when he's sitting in an airplane (or waiting for his late flight to take off).

4. Keyboard

OK so the stock keyboard on the Nexus One Google phone is not that great. Actually it's really bad. But thanks to the people at Smart Keyboard it's way better. No more having to click buttons to get to numbers. Just hold on the letter and extra split second and a number is entered. Nice little feature. And the keyboard can be skinned. Can't do that on the iPhone.

5. Customizable Screens

Yes. Ephman can make his home screen now display what he wants to display. Tasks, events, music, apps, weather, anything... Oh yeah, there's also this thing called Live Wallpapers, and the backgrounds are animated. Can't do that on the iPhone.

6. Speed

Ephman's not talking about meth. Just things seem to be so much snappier. Which kind of makes sense. It has a Qualcomm 1 GhZ Snapdragon chip in there. Even that name Snapdragon is cool. Apps load faster, and reactions inside the app's are also way faster then any other phone Ephman's come across.

7. Memory

Alright the phone comes with a 4 GB microSD card. Totally not enough. But for like $50 no worries, you've not got 32 GB. How much more do you need? Not much if you're a normal person. And we all know how NoRmAl Ephman is. But seriously with that much memory you've got enough to last a long long time.

8. Open Source

This is what Ephman actually thinks is the bestest feature. Don't like the media player. No problem. Go into the Android Market and get a new one. Don't like the way the keyboard looks? No problem go into the Android Market and get a new one. When you open the source code to developers problems get solved. Can cause a few others, but still...

9. Camera

Nice to have a camera with a flash. You have no idea how many times Ephman wanted to take a picture and it was too dark. His old iPhone really needed one. Also, video YES!!! Eventhough the new iPhone has a video, can't believe it's better quality then the Nexus. One day he might actually submit something to TMZ ;)

10. Convenience

In the iPhone you have to click to so many spots just to like change the settings. What 3 clicks or something to just turn off the WiFi, or GPS? But in the Google Phone you can just have all those basic on/off settings like 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Ringer, and even Sync at one click. What can be more convenient?

Please forgive Ephman iPhone fans. After reading what he just wrote up there it just seems to be an iPhone bashing. Please don't think Ephman's a hater. He just hasn't drank the Apple Cool-Aid.  So far it's looking like the Nexus One is the smartest smartphone out there.
