What can be said about a guy that influenced so many bands. Infact Ephman bets that there are bands that have been influenced by The Seeds that don't even know of Sky Saxon. He was thought to be 71 when he died in probably the country's coolest music towns... Austin, Texas. He played his last gig the night before he was taken to the hospital.
In the 70's he had some association with some crazy cult in LA, run by some dude name Father Yod. And this Yod guy gave him his middle name Sunlight. Kind of goes with the Sky right? So he got all caught up in that scene. Nothing wrong with an LA Sunset Strip cult run by some fellow who won a Silver Star, and ran a veggie place on The Strip.
Whatever this guy was the King of Garage Rock, and it could probably be argued that The Seeds were the Great Grandfather of Punk. He had this total bad boy image. Watch the Youtube video, and at the end you'll see what Ephman means.
