Justin Townes Earle is one of those rare talents that fell from the tree of another rare talent... He's Steve Earle's son.  But please you can't really think of that when you think of Justin.  Eventhough they both share the same love for story telling in song... and the same love for drugs and getting into trouble.

See Justin had this gig booked at Webster Hall on October 19^th.  But about a month earlier in old school fashion, there was a problem after a gig.  Justin was probably hammered, and the people that owned the venue didn't pay him the agreed money.  Whammo Blammo, cops are called, and Justin's back in rehab.  Rest of the tour is cancelled.  OUCH!!!

That doesn't matter, he's still one heck of  a flat picking country western singer. His latest release Harlem River Blues is pretty good too.  Maybe not as good as some of his other earlier works.  Songs like Workin' For The MTAwill make any NYC subway dweller smile.  Anyways watch that video down there and you'll catch the idea.  His songs are for the most part personal, with wonderful stories.
