Old 97's @ Bowery Ballroom

old 97's, Rhett Miller, Murry Hammond, Ken Bethea, Philip Peeples, county music, bowery ballroom, alt-country, band
Event Date: Wed, 2010-12-08

The Old 97's are a pretty decent alt-country band from Texas.  And they make sure you know they're form Texas every second they have... whatever.  Except for Austin and Willie Nelson, the state sucks.

See the show's on a Wednesday night.  There's nothing wrong with Wednesday nights... but knowing what this show is going to be like, it's going to be a late night.  This band is a super high energy show.  With Rhett Miller jumping around and sweating all over the place, the crowd will be insane.

The problem is that Ephman's already been dragged out a couple times by his wife to see them this year.  Enough already Kawen.

They're touring to support a new album which is pretty decent.  It's titled The Grand Theatre Volume On. So you have to assume volume two must be in the works.  Be really funny if volume two is a live version of volume one.  Do you think anybody has ever done that before?

Anyways, eventhough Ephman doesn't want to go (but he will), this should be a great show.  Bowery Ballroom is a perfect place also to check them out.
