When Ephman found out that Old Crow Medicine Show was playing at the famous Beacon Theatre the first thing he thought was great band (maybe they should just be referred to as a show right?), not the right venue.  Believe it or not NYC does have a long a storied history with Bluegrass.  And a better place for them to play from a fan's perspective would have been Carnagie Hall, or maybe even better The Town Hall. But we'll hold off any real judgements until the show is down and the review with video is posted.

Actually a few members come from NYC, so it's sort of a coming home for them.  What are the chances of Bela Fleck making a surprise visit?  Currently they're based in Nashville.  Where else right do you want to be if you're going to make it as a Bluegrass band.  So many band have got their start with busking, like The Bare Naked Ladies, and Old Crow Medicine Show is another.  So from busking for nickles to the Beacon Theatre, kind of makes you think this band is worth seeing.
