Ephman likes a great anime as much as the next guy. It's the art, the unique story lines, and the action that he likes. Just the fact that 1000's of hours are put into this art form to make it perfect is reason enough to marvel at it. But the high expectations of Shigurui: Death Frenzy just couldn't live up to everything.
Ephman has dedicated 814 minutes of his life (plus writing this article) to Tsugumi Ohba's and Takeshi Obata's Death Note anime series. This 37 part series totally capitvated Ephman with everything from the quality of the animation, to the twisty turny plot, and complex rules of the story. If you can find the series it's worth at least giving the first episode a try. Ephman's attached 10 minutes of it inside.
