How exciting will this play be? If Billy Elliot was any indication it'll be pretty freaking good! Hey Lee Hall wrote this thing... so it's gotta be good. Not only that but the original case form London came all the way across the pond. Ephman is really looking forward to this play.
Come on isn't that a face only a mother could love? No, because Ephman loves Pee-wee too. And Pee-Wee loves Ephman. They're going to be spending Ephman's birthday together... ON BROADWAY!!!! Ok fine, Ephman's not going to be on the actualy stage with him... but he will be front row centre! You can't get any closer.
As most of you know Ephman's a pretty big fan of Broadway. The day Mamet announce Race, Ephman was like "oh this is going to be wicked". He was right. This is a great all around play. And just proves that Mamet tackles great topics in some crazy insightful ways. Oh, and John Boy Walton's in it, and there's some great one liners.
Spider-Man Spider-Man does whatever a spider can. OK so by now you know Ephman's a huge fan of broadway. And you know he's huge animation fan. And you know he's a huge Rock 'n Roll fan. Put all three of those together and you have maybe what can be Ephman's favorite broadway show... or not!
Music and Broadway for Ephman goes together like beaches and ocean. He loves them. So when FELA! was heading to Broadway he was so happy. What makes this even cooler is that some awesome African beats will be hitting that stage.
Here's another thing that Ephman's wife is making him go to.... anways the guy will see just about anything. And here's the proof. It actually can't be so bad. It's been getting crazy good reviews. In a way Ephman's looking forward to this dance extravagnaza!
Yeah! Steppenwolf Theatre is back in NYC with a new Tracey Letts play. He's one of Ephman's favorite playwrites. Remember August: Osage County. Ephman gave that a great review. So excitment galore for his new play. Maybe another Pulitzer Prize?
Irena is what a real superhero is made out of. This play is about how this little Catholic Polish women, who was beaten, gang raped, beaten again, stood up agains the Nazi's and saved 12 adults and 1 child by get this... hiding them in a Nazi officers house. True story.
If you're into really good plays about drug abuse, suicide, pedophilia, racism, incest, family dysfuntion.... pretty much anything that makes you go "yuck", then this amazing play is for you. If not then this play is still for you...
Ephman says he'll see anything if it's on Broadway. And Irena's Vow is one of those things. Not a big fan of anything to do with Nazi's. But Tovah Feldshuh is somebody to see.
