Suicide Machine 2.0 Can't Save You From The Google Nexus

Looks like Apple is getting ready to ship their tablet sometime in March. The tablets going to sell for about $1000. Actually this is according to the Wall Street Journal. It's kind of been a bit bigger than an e-book. It's looking like it could be about at a 10 inch to 11 inch touch screen. So the potential name according to Ephman is the iSlate. And that's not just according to Ephman, but according to a bunch of other people. So should be interesting when it comes out.

Looks like Quantcast raised 27.5 million dollars the other day. Mainly led by Cisco. So Quantcast is a pretty cool online analytics company. Basically what they do is create a demographic profile based upon websites. So as a marketer you know the makeup of Ephman's visitors. Everything from age group demographic and how many kids my visitors have, tothe types of information people like to search for. Nonetheless Quantcast is a pretty cool website probably want to check in and see the demographics against a bunch of other sites that are out there.

And Quattro Wireless. This is big-time news.  Quattro was bought by Apple yesterday looks like for $275 million. Quattro is an online mobile ad network. And they have to go up against Google buying Admob. So it looks as though right now there is a consolidation in the market place. Actually this whole buying a mobile ad network, got started a while ago by AOL buying Third Screen Media. Third Screen was crappy but the largest of the companies. It'll be interesting to see what happens companies like Ringleader Digital, where they've got a very strong tech platform, but a very business weak management.

Google Nexus is being announced today. Gizmodo looks like and they are to have a live blogging event. That's going to be going on Tuesday, January 5 about at about 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM Eastern about the new Google Nexus. And its can be a live online blog you can check that out. It should be pretty cool.

Oh this was something that Ephman wanted to talk about. There is a Web 2.0 suicide machine. This is really cool suicide machine. What they let you do essentially is kill all your social networks and close them all up. You type in your usernames and passwords to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Their API will go change your password automatically can start defriending everybody. Essentially killing off your social networks. Now this is awesome. This is one of the cooler websites Ephman has come across in the last little bit. Then just as Ephman finished reading this... looks like Facebook right away blocked the suicide 2.0 website. It's pretty hard to kill yourself on Facebook these days now.

This is something out of Ephman's neighborhood. Can't stand it.  Walk past it almost every day now. It looks like the hot thing to do is to wrap your building in a big ad. Now this is actually a really nice building usually. It's at the corner of West 12th Street and Greenwich Avenue. It is an equinox gym and is especially a good place to go to. The West Village is a small community and it's not really big on this kind of stuff. You can see from the comments here people are not happy.

New York City, came out with a heroin how-to guide. They handed out 70,000 copies to people. It covers everything from how to prevent overdoses, how to use syringes, and down that list you can also figure out how to get help for depression. It's probably one of the reasons why people take the crap.

FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).
